March 31, 2025 – Reading, PA — Dogs & Brews, the Reading Public Museum's annual Memorial Day Weekend event, will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 12 to 4 p.m. (rain or shine), at the Reading Public Museum’s Stone Terrace Tent and surrounding grounds. Pet and craft vendors, regional breweries and wineries, and food and ice cream trucks will be present. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Museum (RPM) and the Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL).

The Arboretum has long been a community favorite spot for dog walking, and this event is an opportunity for our dog-loving community to come together to support The Museum and the ARL. Dogs & Brews will bring hundreds of guests and their four-legged friends to The Arboretum to kick off the summer season, sample craft beverages, peruse vendor wares, and indulge in eats from local food trucks while enjoying a beautiful day along the banks of the Wyomissing Creek. Other fun activities include face painting, watching police dog demonstrations, listening to live music, and taking family portraits with your pets in front of a custom backdrop.

In the weeks leading up to Dogs & Brews, several RPM staff members acted as Petbassadors for the ARL, taking the time to visit and play with adoptable pets to raise awareness of their need for a loving home.

Tickets to the event are available online or by calling Hannah Alarcon at 610.371.5850 x230. $50 per person; $85 per couple; $25 for a DD or under 21 (does not receive a glass); Children 10 and under are FREE. The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is a charitable 501c3 organization caring for nearly 5,000 animals each year to help them find second chances in a new home, or to help reunite them with their grateful owners. For over 72 years, the organization has worked tirelessly to care for the sick, treat the injured, comfort the unwanted and protect the abused. Whether helping people in need keep their pets through surrender prevention programs, offering low-cost veterinary services and clinics, as well as outreach and education events throughout the county, the ARL’s work goes far beyond the walls of the shelter.
