Reading School District Benefits

In accordance with its 1991 operating agreement, The Foundation for the Reading Public Museum is pleased to offer currently enrolled students in the Reading School District preferred guest status benefits for Museum facilities, educational programs, and exhibits. Please check back often to learn about additional updates and benefits.

Free Admission

Currently enrolled Reading School District students and up to 5 accompanying guests receive free regular Museum admission and free admission to Public Neag Planetarium Shows with proof of enrollment.

Field Trips

Prescheduled Reading School District field trips are free.

Museum Discovery Camp

Currently enrolled Reading School District students may register during the early bird period and receive Member Early Bird pricing.

Homeschool Day

The Homeschool Day program is $1 per participant for enrolled Reading School District families. Registration is required.

Preferred Guest Status Guidelines

Eligibility

  • Benefits are available exclusively to students currently enrolled in the Reading School District (RSD) and their family members who accompany them, with proof of enrollment.
  • Excludes other organizations and schools serving RSD students.
  • Excludes students residing in the Reading School District but attending a non-RSD school (e.g., parochial, private, non-RSD cyber, or homeschool).

Accepted Proof of Enrollment

  • Student ID
  • Report Card
  • Letter from faculty or staff (on official letterhead or from a district email)
  • Any official district document with the student’s name

For non-RSD schools, if financial assistance is needed, please contact Wendy Koller about the Feed Their Imagination grant program.

Family Museum Admission

If your family cannot afford admission, consider borrowing a Museum Admission pass from a local library or contact Wendy Koller for additional assistance options.
