In-Person & Group Tours at the Museum
The Reading Public Museum is pleased to offer an exciting variety of programming for groups of all ages, sizes, and abilities. Guests have the opportunity to see objects, ask questions, and actively engage in their learning. All of our learner-driven visits take an exciting multi-disciplinary approach, linking concepts in art, culture, science, and history. We can help tailor a visit specific for your group based on any of our special exhibits, permanent collections, Neag Planetarium, or Arboretum.

Visit Details
- Museum visits are recommended to last 1-2 hours.
- Planetarium visits are 1 hour in length.
- The average length of a combined Museum and Neag Planetarium school group visit is 4 hours, including lunch time.
Group Visits
- All group visits are led by highly trained Museum Educators.
- Visits are tailored to fit your group’s needs and interests.
- School group visits support national and state academic standards and are inquiry-based.
Booking & Availability
- Group visits must be booked in advance.
- Available daily between 9am and 7pm with an advance reservation.
Additional Information
- Museum memberships, discount coupons, and passes are not valid for group visits.
- Lunch locations for packed lunches are available.
