The Reading Public Museum is pleased to offer an exciting variety of programming for groups of all ages, sizes, and abilities. Guests have the opportunity to see objects, ask questions, and actively engage in their learning.  All of our learner-driven visits take an exciting multi-disciplinary approach, linking concepts in art, culture, science, and history. We can help tailor a visit specific for your group based on any of our special exhibits, permanent collections, Planetarium, or Arboretum. 

Quick Facts

• Group visits must be booked in advance

• Group visits are available daily between 9am and 7pm with advance reservation

• All group visits are led by highly trained Museum Educators

• All group visits are tailored to fit your groups needs and interests

• A visit to The Museum building is recommended to last 1 - 2 hours

• All planetarium visits are 1 hour in length

• Museum memberships, discount coupons, and passes are not valid for group visits

• All school group visits are inquiry based and support national and state academic standards and goals

• The average length of a school group visit to The Museum and Planetarium is 4 hours including time to eat lunch

• Lunch locations for packed lunches are available
