When you visit The Museum on April 29 from 2–3 p.m., you will enjoy the sounds of the Reading Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert, A Collection of Classics,featuresa diverse musical collection of compositions that range from Brahms to Duke Ellington to Andrew Lloyd-Webber. The concert will be held in the American Gallery on the second floor of The Museum, amidst pastoral art classics from The Museum's collection.
The Philharmonic is under the direction of Conductor, Michael Slechta. Assistant Conductor, Tyler Readinger, and Student Conducting Intern, Steven Doerner, both are music majors at Kutztown University who will also step to the podium.
The orchestra has been playing annual concerts at The Museum since 1962.
