Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19th commemorating the end of slavery in the United States (Britannica.) The Reading Public Museum is proud to join NAACP Reading Branch #2289's Juneteenth calendar of programs this year! To celebrate Juneteenth, we are offering the following programs:

• June 10 (1pm) - Free screening of the documentary "Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom" in the Neag Planetarium*

• June 11 (2pm) - Free screening of the documentary "Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom" in the Neag Planetarium*

• June 12 (Time TBD) - Free film screening and community conversation
•  
• June 19 (11am-5pm) - Free Museum and Planetarium admission

*There is limited seating in the Planetarium. Once full, we will not be able to admit anymore individuals for the film screening.
