Uncover some exceptional art as you travel to Jim Thorpe with the Reading Public Museum! Enjoy the fall foliage along the way as we travel to the Stabin Museum of Art to discover the artwork of Victor Stabin, is an American artist who has been described as an, “eco-surrealist” painter, author and illustrator. He is noted for his work in education and has used his book Daedal Doodle as a teaching tool in several schools, an endeavor sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional credits to Stabin’s artistic body of work include illustrations for numerous publications including Newsweek, The New York Times, Time Magazine and Rolling Stone as well as designing book covers for publishers Penguin Books and Random House.  After the tour of the Stabin Museum and gallery there will be a private lunch at café’ Arielle, followed some free time to enjoy the shops and cafés in Jim Thorpe.
