NEW DATE!!!!! October 16th Senior Series – Abigail Rockwell: Remembrances of Norman Rockwell
You are never too old to learn! Come to The Museum for this senior-friendly program to learn more details behind the exhibits at The Museum.
Join the Reading Public Museum for a special Senior Series Q&A with Abigail Rockwell, granddaughter of celebrated American illustrator Norman Rockwell, on October 16, 2026 at 1 pm. In conjunction with the Museum’s exhibition Rockwell/Wyeth: Icons of Americana, Abigail will share personal memories and insights into her grandfather’s life, personality, artistic process, and enduring legacy. A jazz singer, songwriter and a scholar of Rockwell’s work, she offers a unique perspective on the man behind the iconic paintings and Saturday Evening Post covers that captured the humor, warmth, and nostalgia of everyday American life. The informal Q&A will provide an opportunity to hear stories rarely found in biographies and to gain a more intimate understanding of Norman Rockwell as an artist, grandfather, and observer of American culture.
