Keep your child learning while having fun this summer!
Museum Discovery Camp is for children entering grades 1-5 in the fall of 2026.
Camp days are Monday – Friday, 9am-4pm

  • June 8-12: Wildlife Wonders
    • Explore our world and learn all about the unique animals that live there. Animals are found on every corner of our planet and give us a wide variety of organisms to marvel at. This week we will learn about these wonderful creatures, their unique habitats, and discover our inner animal scientists!
  • June 15-19: Masterpiece Makers
    • Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Haring, Degas, Banksy. They all have one thing in common…ART! What else do they have in common? They all needed to start somewhere. Try your hand at creating art inspired by these Masterpiece Makers and learn the skill needed to be a master of your own!
  • June 22-26: Chemical Curiosity
    • Awaken your scientific curiosity and channel your inner mad scientist during this week of camp. Learn all about how scientists create experiments while staying safe in a lab. This week we will discover some of the building blocks of chemistry and carry out experiments of our own!
  • June 29-July 3: Global Getaway
    • Journey across the world without needing a passport or plane ticket! Learn about the vibrant cultures of far-off places and the incredible people that live there! Explore the exotic lands of Earth without ever leaving The Museum!
  • July 6-10: NO Camp This Week – Happy 250th Birthday, America!
  • July 13-17: Nature Detectives
    • Why are leaves green? How does a caterpillar become a butterfly? What causes a tornado? The nature detectives are on the case! Using our existing knowledge and exciting inquiry-based science, we will discover how truly amazing nature is!
  • July 20-24: Maker Mania
    • Calling all builders, tinkerers, and creators! This week will challenge you to design, test, and build all types of creations. Can you rise to the challenges given during this week of mind-blowing maker mania?!
  • July 27-31: Art Explorers
    • Art has endless possibilities! People from across time and space have played with art materials and concepts to create things that make them happy and express themselves! Join the artistic movement and illustrate the real you!
  • August 3-7: Space Voyagers
    • This week is sure to be out-of-this-world! We are in the middle of very exciting time in space exploration and we can’t wait to share it with you! Learn what it takes to be an astronaut and how you can explore the depths of space from down here on the Third-Rock-From-the-Sun. Earth!
  • August 10-14: Ancient Adventures
    • Step back in time where everything you think is old becomes shiny and new again as we visit Ancient Times! While the everyday lives of ancient people may have looked very different from ours – this week we will discover that many of the inventions and pastimes of ancient civilizations are still celebrated today! So, get ready for some time travelling fun, because we’re going on Ancient Adventures!
  • August 17-21: Science Sleuths
    • Science is VAST! It can help us solve problems, teach us about ourselves, and explain the phenomena of the world around us. Grab your lab coat, put on your safety glasses, and get your pipettes in gear as we sleuth some seriously amazing science!

Registration opens Sunday, March 1 for Museum members. Space fill up quickly!

Early Bird (Member: March 1 – April 30):
(Non-Member and RSD: April 1 – April 30):

  • Museum Member $165/week/camper
  • Non-Member $240/week/camper
  • RSD Families $165/week/camper

Regular (Friday, May 1 – Close):

  • Museum Member $200/week/camper
  • Non-Member $275/week/camper
  • RSD Families $165/week/camper

All campers must be preregistered. Registration closes the Monday prior to the start of the camp week.

How To Register:

  • ALL Camp and registration inquiries MUST be made via email ONLY.
  • Download registration form here.
  • Email completed registration form to Rebeka Birch in Word, PDF, or JPEG attachment form. *Paper registrations will NOT be accepted.
  • Registration forms will be time-stamped and processed in the order in which they are received, please allow 2 weeks for processing.
  • After your registration form is processed, you will receive an email indicating which camp week(s) are being held for you. The email will include an invoice and payment link to complete your reservation. Payment MUST be received within 1 week or your space will be released.
  • Your invoice AND payment receipt will also be your confirmation of your child’s camp enrollment.
  • Payments by check that are sent through USPS may be delayed, which could result in a camp week being sold out prior to receiving your registration.
  • Please do not drop-off any payments at The Museum’s admissions desk.

Refund Policy:

    • Cancellations by May 1 will be refunded full amount less $25 cancellation fee.
    • Cancellations after May 1 will be refunded at the discretion of The Museum.
    • The Museum reserves the right to cancel sessions.

Waitlist Policy:

    • If any camp weeks are sold out at the time of request, you will automatically be added to a waitlist for that camp week.
    • The earliest that you will be notified if a space has opened-up will be May 1 (there are no hard end-dates for waitlists).
    • Please remember that the waitlist is dependent on cancellations of other reservations.
    • If a cancellation occurs, waitlisted reservations will be contacted in the order they were received.
    • If at any time you wish to be removed from a waitlist, please let us know as soon as possible.
    • You will not be invoiced for waitlisted weeks unless you are contacted and have accepted the availability.
