See Impressionism from a new perspective as you join fellow Museum Members and RPM staff for a trip to the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, PA to view the special exhibit Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist. Berthe Morisot (1841–1895), one of the major impressionists, worked alongside Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. This exhibition traces the exceptional path of a woman who defied the social norms of her time to join the Parisian avant-garde. This exhibition will be the first dedicated presentation of Morisot’s work to be held in the US since 1987.
The day will begin with a guided tour of Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist followed by an exclusive lunch in The Grand Pavillion at The Barnes. Following lunch, the day will conclude with free time to explore The Barnes before returning to Reading.
