Museum Discovery Camp 2023 is SOLD OUT! Waitlists are open for all camps!

Museum Discovery Camp is for children entering grades 1st-5th in the fall of 2023. Camps run Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.

SOLD OUT!!!! -Week 1: Mechanical Menagerie (6/12/23 - 6/16/23) - It's a little bit animals, a little bit robotics, a little bit biomimicry, and a whole lot of fun! Featuring our temporary exhibit, Robot Zoo, this camp will explore how we learn from the natural world and create technology inspired by it!

SOLD OUT!!!! -Week 2: Seasons of Fun (6/19/23 - 6/23/23) - This week at camp we are going to explore the wonders of the seasons and how they affect the natural world around us!

SOLD OUT!!!! -Week 3: Mastering Mythology (6/26/23 - 6/30/23) - Join us this week as we master mythology! Myths and legends can be found in every culture and we are going to visit every corner of the world to explore them!

No Camp (7/3/23 - 7/7/23) - Happy Independence Day! 

 

SOLD OUT!!!! - Week 4: Gadgets & Gizmos (7/10/23 – 7/14/23) - Here at The Reading Public Museum we believe that gadgets and gizmos are two of the greatest things on the globe! Come and engineer with us as we design and build magnificent machines!

SOLD OUT!!!! - Week 5: Adventures in Amazing Art (7/17/23 - 7/21/23) - What could be more adventurous or amazing than the imagination? This week we will use our imaginations to push the boundaries of art!

SOLD OUT!!!! -Week 6: Crazy Craft Camp (7/24/23 – 7/28/23) - Crafting is crazy fun! Every culture on Earth has crafting traditions and this week we will get crafty as we delve into local and intercontinental crafts from the past and present!

SOLD OUT!!!! - Week 7: Silly Science (7/31/23 - 8/4/23) - Let's face it - science is serious, but this week we're going to change that and make is SILLY! Join us as we create crazy concoctions, exciting experiments, and some just plain old silly science!

SOLD OUT!!!! -Week 8: GLOBE Trotters (8/7/23 – 8/11/23) - Our Earth is an incredible and unique globe! This week we are going to look at how our globe works, what makes it so special, and how we can play the part of citizen scientists and help keep it that way! Plus, campers will have the opportunity to explore the GLOBE Observer program, a citizen scientist program affiliated with NASA, and how they can gather data that will be used by real NASA scientists!

SOLD OUT!!!! -Week 9: The Coolest Camp (8/14/23 -8/18/23) - Let's face it, camp is COOL! Give summer an incredible send off with us as we explore every topic imaginable during our ultimate week of camp!
