College
and University Programs
The
Reading Public Museum can provide the
higher education community with interactive
forums for guided discussions and research.
Programming includes use of the Museum's
galleries for exposure and study, use
of the Museum's library for research,
and you may request a special showing
of objects that are not shown in the
galleries at this time.
Self-Guided
Tours
Professors
are invited to schedule self-guided gallery
tours during Museum hours including weekends
and Wednesday evenings. Please call to
schedule your self-guided visit with
Lori Irwin at 610-371-5850 ext. 229.
Gallery
Use
The
Museum encourages professors to bring their
students back for return visits and to
make long-term use of our facilities. In
order for this to happen we offer students
a discount for the semester. College students
can pay a one-time fee of $7 per semester
and this will allow them unlimited visits
to the Museum. Professors may call Lori
Irwin at 610-371-5850 ext. 229 to obtain
information concerning the passes for your
students. A one-time visit to the Museum
is our standard group rate of $3 per student.
Special
Tours
The
Museum has objects that are not shown in
our galleries due to space or timing considerations.
If you wish to see a specialized collection
or need specialized research, you can call
the Registrar's Office at 610-371-5850
ext. 223 for information.
