Join us and your friends from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. for a fun-filled evening of art, culture, music, food and more! It's a great place to meet after work to kick off your weekend in style.

Friday, October 17– Evening in Egypt

Get all wrapped up in our new program! Be here for the unveiling of the official drink of Jive After Five, the "Nefer-tini."

Get chummy with the mummy in a gallery talk featuring the mysteries of Egypt and you might just find out how the drink got its name. Listen to live music by the Neo Trio while chatting with friends over tasty hors d'oeuvres. It will be a night you won't want to miss!

Neo Trio is a locally based jazz, blues, rock, Latin, funk band that plays original music and unusual covers of bands from the 60s to the 90s from Grateful Dead to The Cure. "If it works, we play it"! It's even rumored that they play an original song about love, archeology and mummies! Can you dig it? Cory Heller (piano/vocals), Craig Burkey (bass) and Matt Cullen (drums) have been playing together for more than twelve years (friends for twenty years!), an historical rarity in today's music business.

In celebration of our exhibition, Born to be Wild - Adventures in the Art of Motorcycle Design, this month's theme will feature live music by the Blues City Blues Band, hors d' oeuvres, beer tasting with Legacy and Reading Beer and more!

Plus, check out this great exhibition including nearly fifty of the finest examples of cycle design – historical and contemporary!

Blues City Blues Band, Berks County's own premier blues experience, features Bluesman Tom Malafarina (bass and vocals), Bill "Tin Man" Melcher (drums) and Doug Babczak (guitar and vocals). Malafarina, founder of the group, has been playing guitar since the age of twelve, bass since nineteen, and is a prolific songwriter. Many of his original tunes are getting airplay worldwide on traditional, college and internet radio programs as well as podcasts.
