Take a Museum journey with our free Family Backpacks, full of gallery games and activities for several galleries. Check out is in the Atrium and backpacks are available on weekends during the school year and weekdays as well during the summer.

The backpacks are a group activity designed for elementary school age students and their families. Yet children of all ages will have fun learning about the Museum by using the backpacks. Younger students are able to use the backpacks with guidance from an adult. For older kids, the backpacks are a fun and interesting introduction to our collection.

What's in each backpack will engage children and parents as they move throughout the Museum. Every backpack has hands-on objects, a map and information for adults, a children’s book, and kid-friendly discussion starters to make visiting the galleries extra fun!

Pick a backpack and head for the galleries! While you are in the Museum, backpacks are free with identification and can be signed out with the greeter or at the guard’s desk. One backpack per family at any one time, please.
