Discovery Camp offers an art and science program for children from ages
4-11 years.
Exciting programs, unmatched environment, qualified instructors, individual attention and convenience, are the unparalleled ingredients that make the Reading Public Museum Discovery Camp exceptional! Hours that make sense and top notch facilities, Museum Camp 2009 promises to be better than ever!
Programs
include outdoor sketching, nature study and exploration, hands-on live
animal demonstrations, environmental awareness, supervised outdoor games
and activities, Museum Gallery talks, guest speakers, Planetarium shows,
and rainy day activities. Don’t miss the Friday Art Show – parents are
invited!
Located on the grounds of a beautiful 25-acre Arboretum, the Museum facilities provide the highest quality setting for a delightful and educational summer camp!
The camp day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. (except 4 & 5 yrs.) Campers need only bring a lunch & snack each day. Class sizes are limited to assure individual instruction and appropriate supervision. Children are joined in similar age groups providing campers with a compatible yet challenging setting.

Ages 4 & 5
June 28—July 2
August 16 —20 - FULL
(both 4 & 5 yr. old sessions are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
*children must be toilet trained

What does camp cost?
1-Week Session – $155-Member; $180-Non-Member
2-Week Session – $265-Member; $315-Non-Member
Two or More Children
per child/per week – $135-Member; $170-Non-Member
Pre-school sessions (from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) - $135 Member; $155 Non-Member
July 6—9- (4-day session) - $130 Members; $150 Mon-Members
All art materials included in fees
Enrollment is limited; reservations will be accepted in the order payment is received. Registration fee will be returned when maximum enrollment is reached.
Fees are non-refundable for withdrawals.
