Youth
and Family Resources
You
and your family can tour and explore the galleries
at your own pace with one of our family-friendly
gallery guides, backpacks,
introductory gallery tours, gallery
hunts, and other resources.
School
and Teacher Resources
Enhance
your lesson plans with teacher
guides and resources designed to connect learning
to the school curriculum. Resources are available
for each of the thematic
tours offered and other aspects of the permanent
collection. Check out the school and teacher programs
for more information about the art of classroom
learning.
Adult
Programs
Learning
is a lifelong endeavor. Power your brain at the
Museum with programs such as Noontime Knowledge,
Wednesdays After Dark, tours for community or
specialty groups, and workshops.
Home
school
Provide
your students with first hand experiences at the
Reading Public Museum. Bring your home
school group to study and learn. Use introductory
gallery tours, and gallery
searches to help your group become familiar
with the Museum. In-gallery guides located at
the Education Station in the Atrium.
Volunteers Opportunities
There
are two opportunities for people who are interested
in helping in the education department. We need
people interested in xeroxing and compiling written
materials, such as educational packets for mailings
and family and school packets and people who could
periodically help with artistic needs.
Museum
