Education

The RPM has something for everyone. Adults, families and students alike can find inspiration in The Museum’s permanent galleries and special exhibitions. Programs designed to compliment The Museum’s vast collection are offered throughout the year. Visit our online calendar for a list of Programs and Events.

Families

Story Thursdays
On the first and third Thursday of each month, the Department of Lifelong Learning staff offers a story reading, brief tour and hands-on activity for ages 4 and 5. Cost: $5 per participating child. Parents/chaperones are free. (Check The Museum calendar for program dates titles)

Family Exhibition Guides, I Spy and Treasure Hunts
Families can explore The Museum’s galleries (and Arboretum) at their own pace with our family-friendly gallery guides. Guides are available in The Museum’s Atrium.

Adults

Noontime Knowledge
Bring a brown bag lunch, and a friend, and join RPM for its lunchtime lecture series. Lectures run yearly on the first Tuesday of each month.

The Museum offers lectures on special topics in art, science and civilization throughout the year. See calendar for details.

Students & Youth

School Tours
The Museum welcomes school groups from Pre-K through college. Visit our school tour page for more information.

Museum Summer Camp
Exciting hands-on activities in science, art, and history engage children and encourage them to question, create, examine, and explore. Experienced camp leaders create a safe and stimulating environment for campers to learn, have fun, and develop skills that will last a lifetime.
