Letter from the Foundation
In 2011, the Reading Public Museum was a destination for tens of thousands. Visitors marveled at The Museum's collection of Impressionist paintings, did holiday shopping at Art of the Craft, met friends in the Atrium to hear engaging speakers and musicians, traveled through space in the newly renovated Neag Planetarium, strolled the gardens of the Arboretum, and explored our new "family-friendly" permanent gallery spaces.
Whatever your favorite moments are at The Museum, there is a sense that this institution makes Berks County special. As we continue to grow, we look forward to continuing to play a prominent role in our community in the years to come. We have many exciting additions and improvements planned for the coming year including interactive displays across all our galleries, new and dynamic exhibitions in the arts and sciences, and more public access and programming throughout the Neag Planetarium and Arboretum.
However, none of this would be possible without the support of people like you, our donors and volunteers. Your investments in The Museum will help to support these exciting initiatives and help The Museum become a destination for even more visitors in 2012.
On behalf of the staff and board of The Museum, I thank you for your past and future support and look forward to seeing you soon.
