Atrium

The Atrium of the Reading Public Museum is a grand and inviting space. Built as an addition to The Museum in the late-1990's, the Atrium houses our Museum Shop and Atrium Café, and is a stately entrance to our galleries. The vaulted glass ceiling allows for an abundance of natural light throughout the day, and makes for a perfect spot to catch the changing colors of the sky at twilight. The majestic marble staircase serves as the focal point of the space and is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies, speaking engagements, concerts, cocktail receptions, and small intimate dinner parties.
The Atrium can accommodate up to 80 people seated at tables, 125 people seated theatre-style, or 200 people for a standing cocktail party. Click here to see a floor plan of the space.
